A Winter wedding?…yes please!
I love photographing a beautiful winter wedding. But what is it with these bridal parties? They always want to throw snow at me! Must be the cold that does something to them. lol
I myself was married in February and it was the biggest snowstorm ever in about 25 years and all of Kingston was shutting down but we did it anyway. Thankfully our minister waited about 2 hours for us to arrive and we celebrated with family and friends the following day.
Luke and Sarah were fortunate enough though not to have had to worry about that as they had the most beautiful winter day. It was a little bit icy after the last weeks freezing rain and snow, but we managed without having to put skates on. Although that would have been fun too. One of these days, I may just get to photograph a wedding on top of a snowy mountain. Weddingggg bucket liiiiist.
St. John’s United Church in Brockville provided such a beautiful environment to say their vows. It was also the first time this church and myself have ever had a choir sing during the ceremony and it was so lovely. I love photographing at this church as well as the Minister is so awesome that I have very few restrictions on where I’m able to photograph from. She even said to me how important the photographs are. I love to give a different perspective whenever possible. It’s really super nice to see the faces of the bride and groom during those moments, such as lighting the unity candle, rather than the back of their heads.
This wedding was so full of so many different emotions as these two are such wonderful loving characters that even during the ring exchange I got to capture some very unique facial expressions. It was from extreme laughter to crying so hard that words couldn’t be spoken….and this was from the groom! lol Not to mention the rest of the guests like the bridesmaids who had to share a napkin to wipe away tears. I often feel the urge to cry at every wedding, but this one….oh my gosh…I almost burst into tears myself.
https://brockvillecountryclub.com/ was the perfect venue for this couple to rock out to the awesome entertainment provided by http://octaveentertainment.ca/ . Even grandma, the eldest in the room, rocked out with the groom.
