It was a total blast photographing this family session at Barriefield Rock Garden. We managed to avoid the rain and explore a little along the beaten path for these images and I loved that the kids were so excited to have found a couple of spots that they wanted to be photographed at. 
Both Maddison and Logan were hilarious tonight too, making it such an amazing laughter filled time for everyone. Logan especially had us all in stitches the entire time while Maddison knew just what to do for a little fun of her own and keep her younger brother under control…somewhat. lol I’ve been fortunate enough to have been photographing June and Jeff since their wedding day over 10 years ago so I’ve gotten to see the two kids grow from tiny little babies into the personalities they are now. And that’s exactly what they are. Little humans with big personalities and I love it. It amazes me that even from a very early age, our personalities begin to show itself. It’s also amazing how two children who are raised in the same household, with the same morals, the same rules, the same influences, etc, can turn out so wonderfully unique. Our personalities are the best things about ourselves and when there are children who are not hindered by what others may think of them, it’s a joy to watch and be able to photograph.
Barriefield Rock Garden turned out to be the perfect little spot for this family to have gotten some outdoor lifestyle images for themselves. Walking along the path, telling jokes (or at least trying to), The pathways made for a fantastic backdrop for a walk with their children, and spending a few moments of the day simply enjoying each other’s company while at the same time having me capture those moments to treasure. A photography session couldn’t get any better.
