Queen’s University turned out to be the perfect spot to wander with Sarah and Michael for their engagement session.  It was so cute too.  When he showed up at Queen’s, Michael had brought Sarah sunflowers for her.  Apparently she loves them but there isn’t an occassion that allows for them as a gift as they are not in season at the time.  Valentine’s day tradition calls for roses, Christmas it’s pointsettea, Easter its tulips.  It was adorable that Michael decided to use the occassion of having their engagement portraits done to give Sarah her sunflowers.  It was unexecpted and so sweet.  I suppose in all actuality, there doesn’t really need to be any kind of occassion to give someone you love their favorite flowers.  Especially when they are as bright and cheerful as sunflowers are.

In fact, I think the sunflowers are representative of not only Sarah’s personality but Michael’s also.  They too are bright and cheerful.  These two are so easy going and fun loving that they were up for anything.  The connection they have with one another is so apparent when you are with them.  It’s always a sign of a good relationship when an outsider can see how thoughtful a couple are towards each other and how they laugh together at the little things.

From sunflowers to sunsets, is a perfect combination.  The vibrant colors also are reflective of Sarah and Michael’s personality.  They too are the perfect couple together.  They are so full of life, love and laughter that it is so contagious when you are with them.  Nature’s beauties in all it’s forms are wonderful to have the opportunity to experience.

I can’t wait to share in their joy on their wedding day next year.
