Mexico, Cuba, Singapore, Punta Cana.  Just a few places I’ve been blessed to visit.

One of my loves of life is to travel to other countries such as these.  I’m excited to explore the local cultures and people despite how beautiful the resorts are.  Learning about the history, seeing the beauty in the historical architecture, imagining how it came to be and who the people were that lived there. And oh those colors!

I am also interested in seeing and taking in everything that is currently around me at the time.  Seeing the happiness in those living in such poverty makes me wonder how our Western Society can have so much and often are still not happy and want more.  I don’t understand how one Country can be so rich while another so poor.  How do we not as human beings look after one another so that children are not dying from starvation, or curable diseases like leprosy no longer exist.  We live in a life of luxury and abundance of food so how is it that we so easily deny our neighbouring countries at least a morsel of our wealth.  I wonder why is it the world’s leaders do not come together as one and strive to resolve these issues.  After all, we are ALL human.

I wish I could solve it all myself, but alas, I am only one.  So I simply travel when I can and where I can enjoying all the world’s beauty in its land and in its people.  These images were taken on one of my trips to Mexico.  This little island is one of my favorite places to visit so far.  The island is called Isla de Mujeres which is Spanish meaning for Woman Island.  The island is approximately 7 km long and 650 meters wide.  You can rent a golf cart and travel the entire island in about a half hour, but you’ll find that once you’ve taken the ferry over, you’ll be staying for the day.  The mexican food is amazing and the shopping so much fun with every vendor offering you free tequila to drink.  And if you’re lucky, you might just happen past a local with a hammerhead shark he just caught from the ocean headed down the street in his cart.  How interesting.
