Sherwood Park was a beautiful place to take a walk with Mahsa and Chris for their engagement session.
I met up with this amazingly warm and friendly couple at the entrance to Sherwood Park and it was such a nice thing for them to do by bringing me hot chocolate as well as for themselves. It was much needed as we took a walk through the trails on a bit of a cold day. First things first though, let’s warm up with that hot chocolate!
Once we had a moment to drink our toasty hot chocolate and chat, we ventured through the snow along the trails. We were greeted along the way at every corner by the k9 variety and Mahsa and Chris were missing their little furry friend as he was in Brockville at the time. I’ll get to meet him soon when we head out for part two of their winter walks. And again, we were blessed with that beautiful warm glow as the sun fell below the crisp snow filled horizon. It was wonderful.
I love exploring Toronto with couples. They show me some great places in nature I never knew could even exist amongst those towering concrete buildings. Thankfully there’s a little bit of Heaven here on earth at every turn. Even throughout the big cities. I will admit though, I love the architecture you’ll find in Toronto also. So I’m torn about what and where to photograph when I go. The historical buildings with the amazing architectural detail nestled amongst the more modern buildings full of angles and glass is always a favorite of mine. It makes for some interesting compositions with our without people in them.
By the time we headed back to their home, we were in definite need of another warm drink. And I must say, I am amazed at what a talented artist Mahsa is. Her paintings that I saw just blew me away. I think she needs to start painting more and selling these works of art!
