Amy’s fine art session in downtown Ottawa was a blast just as I’ve been anticipating. It originally started with a certain hair style but we were unable to find a hairdresser that could do it. While looking for a hairdresser, I started searching for the perfect dress and wouldn’t you know it, I found four fabulous dresses at Isis Dress for Special Occasions in Brockville.
Amy came to the studio and we went through the gowns to determine which were going to suit the look we were going for and to figure out how we were going to style her hair, makeup and accessories. And while in the studio, we also took some studio portraits. How could I not. Amy’s session was so amazing it turned into five hours of wandering the city streets and having a lot of fun creating these images. But man were we hungry when we finished, so pizza was shared with mom while we viewed the images on the back of the camera. It was so wonderful watching Amy’s reaction to the pics on the back of the camera. I can only imagine what she’ll think about the edited version. At 13 years of age, she was a natural in from of the camera and it was such a pleasure for me to photograph her. And her hair…don’t you just love it!!
