Feathers for Chloe.
It was such a pleasure meeting and photographing Chloe for our 5th Happy Soul Project Calendar that I had to hang out with her a little more. She loves to dance and so we put some music on and she showed me some very cool dance moves, but she also told me that she collects feathers. But not just any kind. The ones she collects have a story to them all, like when she left a Blue Jays game and found a blue jay feather. So, I decided I had to create a portrait that portrays a part of her. So out came my feathers for some Fine Art portraits of her. She instantly turned into such an amazing model you’d think she’d been doing it for a while now. Capturing her sweetness and her joy became contagious. I could have photographed her for hours. After the shoot, she shared with me more stories of what she had collected and why. I’ve also promised that I will add a Rooster feather to her collection since the garment she wore included rooster feathers. Just another story for her to tell. Another story added to her life.
We also had to go through my collection of dresses and photograph her in some of her favorites. Especially since she could show people that there really are fairies.
