One of the things I love to do most is travel to a destination in this world. Whether it be to Singapore, Cuba, Mexico, Dominican or right here at home to Toronto, Ottawa and most recently, Alberta, I love it all. Seeing this beautiful world we live in and the people who share it with us excites me to no end.
Recently I had the good fortune to visit Alberta and all its glorious mountains. I didn’t realize how majestic they really are until I stood at the foot of them and found myself in awe. It was hard not to. I was feeling like I would be happiest living right there at the foot of the “hill” with this glorious turquoise lake in front of me forever. It was so calming yet exhilarating at the same time. I wasn’t ready to leave when it was time to pack up and go. I didn’t get a chance to grab a canoe and explore the lake itself so that’ll be for next time.
Photographing Rosanna and Andrew in this glorious destination was like a dream. They were so at ease with each other and so happy with each other. It was a pleasure wandering the trail with them chatting and photographing them in little pockets of majestic fabulousness (is that even a word). All I could think about is that life is about just this…these moments with one another and these places. And how great it is for me to have the opportunity to capture these moments and places for others. Destination weddings, elopements and engagements I must say are my favorite.
Their laughter was so infectious, that I was constantly having to refocus my camera because of my laughter.Enjoying simple moments in the grandeur of it all is what is most important in life.
